Souvenirs of Summer 2017

So, I graduated this summer. When I started University back in 2014, 2017 seemed really far away. But, here we are...
For three years, there was always something to think about: assignments and such. After graduation, you are kind of free (well, if you have no plans like me). You won't have that guideline or marking criteria in making things work. This is your life. So far I am enjoying this free-flowing and non-graded adventure of mine as I don't want to step my foot into the competitive corporate world, not yet.

 This summer, we went on a lot of short hikes. Sunsets are always amazing especially when you are at the edge of the earth and everyone around you is mesmerized (and almost consumed) by the setting of the sun and that is a beautiful thing to witness.

The highlight of this summer was Scotland trip. Oh, and we had no idea about the August festival in Scotland and sitting in a car for almost seven hours, we wanted a good meal that night. Searching for a nice place to dine at Edinburgh, we arrived at the city and it happened to be a fireworks night that night. Certainly, Edinburgh was happy to see us. Right place at right time, always. After the warm welcome, everything else was just a bonus on this trip.

After the Scotland trip, we took a few city trips, here and then, to Birmingham, Oxford, Leicester, Canterbury. We had tons of 'right place at right time' moments on those trips as well.  



Lastly, we ended this summer on a good note with this rosy birthday cake of mine and of course we say 'Alhumdulillah'.

Renting a car in Italy, Parking in Venice and Fresh Orange Juice

Dress from Whistles Shop here Arena Di Verona Juliet's Balcony Things to keep in mind when renting a car in Italy: You have to have a  credit card  as the lady explained to me that debit card   is not a guarantee in Italy so most of the car rentals only provide services if you have a credit card. We didn't have a credit card so our booking was non-refundable! Moving on, there are companies that will let you rent a car with a debit card but you have to pay for a full insurance, which means it will be much more expensive. The total renting a car per day for us was €95 with the deposit of €100 for the fuel that means the insurance includes theft too! So you actually will have a peace of mind. I am a pretty good driver so I won't have to worry about anything anyway but sometimes you never know! Lily's fatal love

Lily checked in the bunk bed above me. It was before Christmas.   Every morning, driving in a lush green countryside to my work, back in England, I dreamt of being in a sunny Australia- Melbourne, to be specific. I have been here before and I loved it. So, there was a bit of certainty that I would love it amongst the waves of uncertainty my direction of life was heading towards.  “You must have really loved it to come back here, again.” - said John. John was to be my gym buddy during my last few days of stay in Melbourne.
