But a dream

Image
This will probably be my last summer outfit post for this year as I will be flying back to the UK soon... I am excited to see my family. First thing I will do as soon as I reach home is dive into my bed and take a 'nap' for a day or two!  Each day has been a great experience (good or bad), and now I am ready to leave Melbourne...  I found lessons in the most unexpected, met new ideas and learned to celebrate life in general. The other day my flatmate told me:  " once you arrive to the UK, you will feel like your time in Australia was like in a dream "  Agreed Isn't Life (itself) anything but a Dream? Shrine Bright

Image
Shrine of Remembrance, one of few landmark, from where you can snap a perfect landscape view of Melbourne City. Melbourne is evidently modern and well-organised, but it does know how to appreciate its history and culture. This monument was built in the remembrance of those who served and those who died in Great War.  Calm and collected, anytime I visit this landmark, it soaks in my tired energies and fills me up with a new energy. Each time I come here, it gives me reasons to fall in love with life a little bit more...I leave this place energised, and with peace. My stroll around Melbourne, where I am constantly searching for gap... Story- telling is huge in this day and age. Because of the internet, we realise the culture of having a voice and expressing ourselves instead of being a passive recipient of the mass media. Every individual is constantly communicating their story in the form of photographs, status and ultimately creating sub groups with hashtags and so on...Because I am a communication, media and culture student, I am fascinated by the use and the evolvement of social media. It is ubiquitous and hard to ignore.  It has its advantage and disadvantage. Since, we cannot escape from it, I try to use it for my benefit... I ask you to do the same. Use it to enhance your life... But, I am attracted to empty spaces... silence  It keeps me grounded. It allows me to stay true to my values and understand where people are coming from. Lastly, it allows me to push my creati...

Where are we going?

Cafe- hopping...                           ... in search of new ideas, informations and inspirations! Location: Duke Coffee Roasters, Flinders Lane, Melbourne I stumbled onto Kinfolk magazine: the issue focused on 'essentialism' " instead of determining how little we can live with, it is about working out what we simply cannot live without "   " silence is one of the great art of conversation " Declutter your space and mind. What is truly essential for you? ...

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week

Image
I got to experience only one night of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week but, I had a great time.  There were several runaways which were for free and on the streets!   Many shops in Melbourne Central and Emporium had discount offers. I did not hesitate to grab them offers! I mean who will?  There were free professional photos being taken, we all love the sound 'free'. So, it was a possible tick for me.   Melbourne surely did come alive during the fashion week night!
