On my way to Bali from Kuala Lumpur, I stopped at Singapore and had myself five hours to waste wisely!  Heres what I did: So, you can get a tourist day pass for $20 and you will get $10 back when you return the card at the end of the day which is a pretty good deal. With this pass, you can use the underground and buses.  I hopped on the train from  airport to Bayfront station and walked around Garden by the bay. I hopped on a bus to the Harbour-front station (you can either take a train or bus) to get to Sentosa Island. From Harbour-front station, you can either take a train or walk to the Island. Kota Kinabalu (KK), located in Borneo Island is a perfect place to be, if you are not a fan of tourist populated area like me.  Means of transportation in KK is Taxi as it is humid hot to walk around. They normally dont use meters and use fixed rate. On our last night, I overheard someone saying the city started using uber for a month now, therefore the other cheaper alternative to go around the city would be uber.  Jesselton point is a ferry terminal, located at the edge of the KK City Centre, from where you can take a boat to the islands in KK. Three famous islands are Sapi, Manukan and Mamutik. It will cost you around 30 ringgit/ £5 or less for return ticket. You can choose to just go to one island or do island- hopping (will cost you more). The last boat to return to KK will be at around 4 pm.  This super cute ancient town - Hoi An, will undoubtedly delight you with its grace. Hire a bicycle for a day (its super cheap) and just explore around the town and it's okay to go off track because it is a small town and you will manage to find your way back. The food here is amazing: their speciality is chicken fried rice, the one that I had, was mixed with mint with mild taste but was delicious. There are several temples you can visit during the day time and on the night time the town just lit up with lights and candles, laughter and excitement, just strolling around the town will transport you to dreamy era! There are night markets, boat trips, restaurants, music. You should not miss this culturally rich town- Hoi An whilst visiting Viet Nam.  Content and looking forward for my next adventure, so stay tuned :)
