Humming Bird

Always finding myself hovering from one hobby to another, you can tell consistency is not my forte, yet, I am here to tell you lacking consistency is not a curse at all. Storytime: I am fond of my course because it demands intellectual stimulation, but I dislike my coursework as it asks for receipts which it is not willing to pay for. Side by side, I am fond of a lot of things and this fondness of mine is fickle and it fades. The earliest memory of this arbitrary road has taken me to this 'wanting' of becoming a singer. When I was at the peak state of this 'wanting', my brother gifted me a guitar and I went ham trying to learn guitar for, let's say, few months. I have walked down the artistic road where I just wanted to paint all day. I took an Art course where I didn't like that I had to explain things. 'Art just Is' was my answer and still is. If I knew my passion, I would devote all my energy towards it, believe me, I would. Some people kn...

Productivity

Image
As I sit inside a fully packed library, it's only week 3 but the dissertation is not far due, I keep catching myself looking outside the window, which reminds me of the Dubliners that we had to study for our A Levels. I don't remember much about the Dubliners but that the windows are very symbolic. This phrase is very much ingrained in my brain, they are symbolic because you can see the other side, know the other side but you cannot experience it yet always overlooking what we can experience on this side of the window. Okay, back to my purpose of writing this post. The purpose is always a heavy subject, which ultimately always leads me to ask questions such as "what is my real purpose?" nevertheless, solely asking this question with a purpose already inside me and hence, I have given up on straying down that road. I want to point out the subject of 'busy' ness that the western civilization has embodied throughout the years. Since I came from the ...

Public issues

Image
I read somewhere " Public issues will knock on your private door sooner or later " This quote really knocked me off my feet and I sat with this quote for a week... thinking, contemplating really trying to understand it. I used to completely shut down news, politics etc and labeled it 'negative' claiming that I did not want anything negative in my life but what is so negative about knowing what is happening in the world! It becomes negative only when you react with anger, frustration and all kinds of fear. I hear this all the time Think Positive Think Positive. People are like I only want positive stuff in my life, so I don't want any horrible news and believe me I used to be that person. But there is nothing positive about ignoring the suffering of another being. Positivity is about rejoicing on the fact that we can do something about it.  I live on this planet called earth and everything that is happening on the planet earth is my(our) responsibilit...

Day out in London

Image
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Do you guys ever feel like, if along the way you didn't do that one thing you did, you would be in a completely different place! You feed your mind with so many things which might serve you or not but it will totally affect the next thing that you encounter and experience. The existing knowledge you have helps you to translate your experience. My point here is that the day to day things that may seem insignificant are actually shaping our lives. We do not pay attention to a lot of things that we do, a lot of choices that we make on a daily basis. We are not conscious of what we are consuming, yet these are things that are making us succeed or fail! People say everything happens for a reason and it is true that everything that happened to you is the reason that you are here today. The other day I went to visit the exhibition of Turner Prize Winner and the other three artist shortlisted at Tate Britain with m...

Winter Wonderland, Hyde park

Image
London during the winter is a fairytale with Christmas decorations. More than a fairy tale winter is about keeping yourself warm, it is about hot chocolate and latte, it is about indulging yourself with extra love. Winter is cosy and winter is home...Winter is Wonderland. Past few weeks, I claimed to be busy all the time with my assignments and I was missing out on all the things that winter had to offer... This City break to London restored my energy and made me realise that there is world outside my assignments(it sounds so simple but it's the truth). This is my last year of University and I will never get it back again. The other day my colleague told me that she misses having the long Christmas break... After you start working there is no semester breaks. So whilst I am still in Uni, I will enjoy everything that Uni has to offer and take it season by season.

Things no one tells you about going abroad

Image
As the cold weather of November is here, I recall my year abroad in heat of Melbourne and Vietnam. You might have heard stories about people how going and living abroad changed their lives... This is a story of how going abroad didnt completely changed my life! I am definitely glad for all the things I got to experience on my year abroad. These are memories I will have forever. But for me change came from somewhere else...  T hings that changed me was my everyday choices, my everyday decision and my everyday habits. Ultimately it was upto me to decide to do things differently and see things differently. To try everyday to be better than before. To accept and learn from my mistakes. The power to change your life is in your hands whenever you want and wherever you are... always! I have realised that the s trongest people are the ones who stay and change their circumstances. Anyways, I have a lot of catching up to do with my Uni work cause of my year abroad an...

Bicester Village taken from iPhone

Image
Here are some photographs of Bicester Village Designer Outlet , where I have been spending most of my weekends, working of course! Busy in the weekends and not too quiet in the week days, I get to see people queueing up in Pandora half an hour before they open! Discounted designer brands bring a lot of shoppers from all around the world. They are on the process to make the outlet bigger...that means more opportunities!!!  Meanwhile, they have  put up the Christmas lights up... I cant wait till they light it up!
