Shrine Bright

Image
Shrine of Remembrance, one of few landmark, from where you can snap a perfect landscape view of Melbourne City. Melbourne is evidently modern and well-organised, but it does know how to appreciate its history and culture. This monument was built in the remembrance of those who served and those who died in Great War.  Calm and collected, anytime I visit this landmark, it soaks in my tired energies and fills me up with a new energy. Each time I come here, it gives me reasons to fall in love with life a little bit more...I leave this place energised, and with peace. My stroll around Melbourne, where I am constantly searching for gap... Story- telling is huge in this day and age. Because of the internet, we realise the culture of having a voice and expressing ourselves instead of being a passive recipient of the mass media. Every individual is constantly communicating their story in the form of photographs, status and ultimately creating sub groups with hashtags and so on...Because I am a communication, media and culture student, I am fascinated by the use and the evolvement of social media. It is ubiquitous and hard to ignore.  It has its advantage and disadvantage. Since, we cannot escape from it, I try to use it for my benefit... I ask you to do the same. Use it to enhance your life... But, I am attracted to empty spaces... silence  It keeps me grounded. It allows me to stay true to my values and understand where people are coming from. Lastly, it allows me to push my creativity.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin "Don't worry about what people are thinking about you because they are too busy what you are thinking about them" I remember that I used to write this quote everywhere, when I was in around grade 5. It meant something to me back then but I didn't grasp the true meaning until now.  My momma was and is a worrier and I am the same, most of us women are! I have realised that big quotes are helpful but small actions can definitely build into your happiness. When some habit is instilled in your routine and mind for a long time,  you wont even realise that it is unhealthy for you.  But we can make few changes and work towards letting go of things that we are not able to control and trust that everything happens for a reason. Change does not happen overnight. You have to constantly work on it. Build your new habit and let go of your old ones. Most of the days we are repeating the same task anyway. So, just make one
